Real-Time Yarn Breakage Detection in the Warping Machine

In the warping process, one of most crucial elements determining production efficiency are break detectors. Due to high speeds, they must ensure not only reliability but also very low response times. Currently, commonly used detectors mechanical systems that detect lack yarn tension, and with development electronic systems, it has become possible measure tension directly in tensioners themselves. To significantly reduce costs such a method been proposed will allow for analysis recorded image and, on this basis, determine fact breaking indicate exact location broken ends yarn, which provide operator or robotic future completely new, unobtainable earlier information. interdisciplinary project, goal was achieve highest speed real-time analysis. this, techniques filtration, adaptive thresholding, morphological transformations were used, thinning had years, improved. During experimental work, possibility detecting breaks different types yarns, both linear densities colors, examined. The results showed worked well, more importantly, tested identified its limitations. final allows installation solutions new machines modernization old ones.
